Some of the most famous residencies and properties across London are throwing open their doors for FREE this weekend at Open House London.
The annual property weekender is a favourite for the curious and downright nosy. There’s loads to choose from. Our top picks include Goldfinger’s brutalist masterpiece Balfron Tower, Baitul Futuh Mosque in Merton, the Camden Highline (pic above), the Polish embassy and John Nash’s Royal Society. Book in advance (they get booked up) and enjoy.

Celebrate (or “mark” depending on how you look at it) the end of summer with this fun and family friendly festival in Tooting.
There’s loads on at Tootopia. FREE highlights at the three-day gala include a pasta making workshop, an intro to craft beer (including freebie booze) and a Women’s Institute takeover. Elsewhere there’ll be street food on offer plus live music at the Wheatsheaf pub.

Take advantage of Sunday’s car free weekend in London with an afternoon of FREE games, music and workshops at the Connaught Village Imagines.
There’ll be fun for little ones including meeting puppies and dogs at The Cuddle Club, an art tour by Rickshaw and bird feeder making. For kids of all ages there’ll be street food and drinks, giant outdoor games and a DJ.
We should also point out there’s dozens of events marking the car free day – from a re-enactment of The Peasants Revolt at the Tower of London (11.30, 2.15pm) to pop up playgrounds across the capital and yoga on Tower Bridge.
