Major League Baseball is coming to the capital this summer for the first time. And why not get in on the action at this special sporty weekender in East London?
MLB London Yards is three days of fun at Truman Brewery. There’ll be batting challenges, your chance to pitch a ball plus a chance to chow down on street food and watch the action. The New York Yankees take on the Boston Red Sox at the London Stadium and it’ll be shown live on the big screen.

Sir Simon Rattle takes to a giant open air stage in Trafalgar Square on Sunday to lead the London Symphony Orchestra in another year of BMW Classics.
This year’s musical programme includes Ravel and Poulenc and it’s sure to be a fabulous occasion. You can bring a rug or cushion and food/drink but, for obvious reasons, strictly no furniture or glass bottles. Normally, we mention you might need a brolly but not this year. Oh no! This weekend you’d do better thinking Factor 15 and ensuring you have a plentiful supply of water.
