The countdown to Shrove Tuesday begins this weekend with events across the capital. And this little number will take some beating; a charity pancake race raising money for the Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice.

If you’re looking to get creative this weekend head to the Southbank where Crafty Fox Sample & Seconds Sale is back in town.
There’ll be 50 traders or so taking part selling everything from jewellery to bespoke shoes, clothing and art. Visitors can also get hands on; watch out for a FREE drop-in card making workshop,

Spend a day discovering the vital role women have made shaping our island at a FREE day of fun activities at the National Army Museum.
Women and the Army will feature a fascinating talk from a World War II Auxiliary Territorial Service member, a performance from the Military Wives Choir plus gallery tours to boot.
