The weekend’s here and we’ve been scouring some of the best freebies the city has to offer. And, as usual, there’s no shortage of things to do across the capital.

If you’re east this weekend, stop by for some FREE music, theatre, dance, arts and crafts and comedy at the Walthamstow Garden Party.
There’s loads going on at the two-day festival. Highlights include a set from reggae legends Toots and the Maytals, a craft market, a kids film lounge plus your chance to take part in an interactive drumming workshop.

Go west for some FREE watery fun in Chiswick and ride one of the Little Ships from Dunkirk along the Thames! The legendary Princess Freda will be sailing every 45 minutes from Chiswick pier – there’s no need to book, just show up. Perfect for all the family.
If you get peckish there’ll be a barbecue plus cakes and ice cream available by the water’s edge. Look out for stalls and kids activities.

The Whitecross Street Party returns to Islington with a mix of music, dance, spoken word, booze and grub.
There’ll be loads of chances to get involved too. Check out the the Nimble Western Line Dancers and Punk Rock Choir; visitors are invited to give both a bash!

Every Londoner’s two favourite things – ice cream and emoticons – combine on Sunday in Clapham Common; dessert specialists Wall’s are setting up a Pay-by-emoji ice cream van!
To bag a FREE frozen feast, simply tweet the ‘secret code’ of #GoodbyeSerious to @Walls and show it to the ice cream van. They’ll then hand over the goods!
