How about a night bopping and singing along to Brixton’s finest son? Let’s Dance! A Bowie Birthday Special at the Blues Kitchen celebrates all things Ziggy with a night of music dedicated to the great man.
Best of all the restaurant’s house band will be playing his greatest hits from the legendary 1971 ‘Hunky Dory’ album: Ch-ch-ch- Changes, Life on Mars, Kooks, all the classics. Were he still with us the icon would be celebrating his 72nd birthday on the 8th January.

What about this for a lovely London quirk? Everyone’s invited to London Bridge this Sunday to watch the annual Blessing of the River Thames.
Clergy from Southwark Cathedral and St Magnus the Martyr come together to perform a short service to sanctify the water and all those who work on it. Each parish is either side of the river. All religions and none are welcome to come and watch.
