Check out an interactive dance performance at this year’s Art Night!
East London is being transformed into a living breathing nocturnal gallery this Saturday – Art Night is back. The FREE cultural festival features sculptures, installations, performances, music and more from creative types from around the world.
Highlights to look out for include interactive dance performances in Exchange Square (similar to the one pictured above), a late-evening procession of banners in Whitechapel, cocktails and performers in St.Katharine Docks plus renowned artist Anne Hardy’s installation of light and sound in Shoreditch.

The Mudchute Agricultural Show is back this weekend
If you want to get back to nature – without ever having to leave the big, bad city – make time for the Mudchute Agricultural Show
The FREE quirky annual show is a celebration of farm life in the heart of the Isle Of Dogs. This year’s event features sheep racing, donkey rides, birds of prey performances plus an equestrian display.
Fancy some competetive action? The farm is also hosting tug-of-war battles plus a welly throwing competition to boot!
Organisers are putting on a specialist under-5s area too where little ones can play in the tree house and outdoor area.

Everyone is invited to celebrate the end of Eid in Trafalgar Square this weekend
Take the kids over to the FREE Eid Festival in Trafalgar Square. The annual fun marks the end of Ramadan and features live music and traditional entertainment from across the Muslim world.
There’ll be food stalls selling cuisine from Morocco, Malaysia and elsewhere plus for the kids there’s face painting, story telling and even the chance to get a temporary henna tattoo. Everyone welcome from all religions and none!

The Kindred Spirit Duo will be playing at this year’s Hornsey Music Festival
Get up to north London for a weekend of FREE music at the Hornsey Music Festival. The three-day gala is back for its fifth year and as usual it’s stacked with an eclectic line-up of musicians and performers playing punk, folk, jazz, classical rock and more.
This summer’s event will be held across four north London locations. Highlights include big band group the Swingtime Serenaders, violin-guitar pairing Kindred Spirit Duo (pictured above) and gigantic ecumenical choir The Taize Service.

Head over for some FREE music at the Bermondsey Carnival
The Bermondsey Carnival is back in town showcasing some of the capital’s finest and funkiest musical acts. Watch out for performances from Ska legend (and member of The Specials) Neville Staple plus a set from reggae heroes The Marvels.
There’ll be food stalls and drinks plus funfair rides for the kids too. If you fancy a rummage head over to the onsite jumble sale – Rumble In The Jumble – to try and bag a bargain,
