Trump’s in town and our World Cup run is over….oh, how things change! Fortunately there’s plenty of distractions in our wondrous city this weekend. Here’s our top picks.

If you want a splash of colour on Saturday, sashay across to Stratford to the FREE glitter themed Summer Fete in East Village.
Ice cream specialists La Gelatiera will be selling vegan glitter sorbet and Signorelli’s, The Bread Shop, glitter lattes. Best of all Firezza is giving away 200 FREE slices of glitter pizza (above) across the afternoon!
Kids are invited to take part in the Glitterball Fancy Dress Disco plus there’ll be FREE glittery make-overs for kids aged four to ninety-four! There’s even a Great Glitter Bake Off to enjoy.
If you’re all glittered out, visitors can enjoy a traditional coconut shy, Hook a Duck and donkey derby as well as live music and dance performances. There’ll be two dozen homewares, arts and craft and pop-up food stalls to enjoy plus Wimbledon ladies final will be on the big screen at 2pm.

If you’re East and fancy a drink and a (veggie) munch, make straight for the London Vegan Beer Fest 2018.
The day long vegan event at Hackney Downs Studios brings together some of the best brewers in the business including Brass Castle Brewery and West Londoners, Moncada Brewery, plus vegan treats from Black Milq Ice Cream and Arancini Borthers among many others.

Bus down to Borough for an afternoon of live music, arts and crafts for the kids, dance performances at The Mint Street Music Festival.
It’s FREE entry and, as you’d expect, there’ll be tasty street food for when you get peckish and live music. Highlights come from Yazatar and South American band The Kalima Project (pictured above).

Head down for a FREE afternoon of live music, kids’ entertainers, street food and a giant screen showing the Wimbledon men’s final at the Northcote Road Summer Fete.
There’ll be more than 170 stalls selling clothes, jewellery, toys and homewares plus food stalls from South American, Indian, Ethiopian and more!. Activities for the little ones include a carousel ride, assault course, interactive games and a mini petting-zoo!
