Get down to Canary Wharf to explore a wondrous urban greenery at the FREE Open Garden Squares Weekend.
Check out the beautiful Japanese maples and New Zealand tree ferns among other amazing fauna. On both days there’ll be kids’ workshops, a guided garden tour and classical music performances.

Here’s a bonkers one, why not learn to be a circus entertainer? AirCraft Circus Academy is throwing open their doors – and unleashing the trapezes this weekend for two days of circus workshops, tours and an opening party.
The £10 ticket gives you five tokens to try out different disciplines including flying, tight-wire, juggling or hula-hooping. It’s open to all ages and abilities from novice to pro-acrobats. Go on, give it a go!

Get ready for an afternoon of arts and crafts, games, live music and games at the Union Chapel Summer Fete.
All activities on the day are inspired by the centenary of women’s suffrage so watch out for placard making, talks about local suffragette heroines and female musicians. There’ll also be a family friendly architectural treasure hunt in the Union Chapel if it rains!

It’s a catwalk show with a difference at the St James’s London Fashion Week Men’s Show. Watch out for fashionistas and cool aficionados making their way down the famous fashion strip throughout the afternoon.
There’ll also be drinks, live music and street food including pizzas, ice cream and Brazilian hot dogs. Look out for special offers from local retailers too including 2-4-1 drinks at nearby Tonkotsu at Anzu between 4-7pm. It’s all part of London Fashion Week Men’s so just make sure to pout!

Balham’s all singing, dancing and eating community street party is back this weekend. The road will be closed to traffic and expect 60+ food stalls and everything from dresses to jewellery.
Local band, Grievous Angels, will be providing the tunes and a funfair ride, along with Minnie the Clown will be entertaining the kids.

Make merry on Saturday in Greenwich at this family festival jam-packed with activities for young and old. At the workshop tent you’ll be able to learn drumming, ukulele and arts and crafts. There’ll also be acrobatic, music and dance performances and tons of opportunities for the little ones to run off steam from footie and rugby games to a soft play area for the under 7s.
Throw in some sunshine and you’re in for a good FREE day.
