The sun’s out, spring’s here (but bring a brolly, let’s not get carried away!) and the weekend’s arrived. Here’s our top things to do.

This is your chance for a FREE day of gaming, cosplay and dressing up; the Games Character Parade is coming to the capital. Dress up in games-inspired costume and get involved in the light-hearted procession.
If you want to take part register in advance or just rock up and enjoy from the sidelines. It’s all part of the London Games Festival taking place this month. The Parade gets going from from Guildhall Yard bang on 12.30pm. It then loops around the city and back again.

Why not help the kids get creative and head over to a FREE arty session at Beside The Seaside at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.
Little ones can take their inspiration from beachside paintings and photographs in the museum’s collection and create artwork to take away. No need to book, just pop in.

For all you movie buffs out there head south for the start of the West Norwood FREE Film Festival. Watch out for surprising screenings (E.T. in a church, anyone?), fascinating talks and frank discussions in the most unlikely places during the two-week gala.
There’ll be kids events to look out for – including their chance to choose the film they want to see. There’ll also be horrors, musicals and cult classics to enjoy. And best of all it’s all gratis.

If your wardrobe needs a bit of sprucing up on a budget, head down to Dalston where you can swap your way to sartorial elegance at the April Spring Swap.
Visitors should bring up to 20 items (in pretty good nick) and trade away. Clothes, shoes, bags, knick-knacks and accessories, whatever you fancy.bring it down and get swapping.

A new Brewhouse and Taproom is opening a stone’s thrown from King’s Cross and they’re throwing a party to celebrate. Two Tribes Taproom Opening at Tileyard Studios will be serving up craft beers, hand-picked spirits and warming coffees brewed on site.
Staff will also be offering FREE brewery tours and tastings and Beer Pong and Cornhole to keep everyone entertained. There’ll ciders, wines and cocktails too plus chefs will be serving up pizzas to soak up the booze. Oh and there’ll be DJs so expect to throw some shapes as the drinks flow!
