This is guaranteed to be one Saturday that packs a punch. Britain’s only Hot Sauce Festival is returning to south London challenging Londoners to test their hot sauce skills..
Expect 40 traders, Caribbean cuisine and competitions such as ‘Chilli Karaoke’ where participants will be pitted against each other and asked to sing while crunching on the infamous Caribbean pepper, the scotch bonnet. Not one for the faint hearted, whose idea of hot is a chicken korma!
In between, a scorching mouth you can expect live music, DJs and oodles of jerk chicken. Of course, you’ll need to soothe your taste buds so there’ll also be cocktails, beer and bourbon. At just two quid for entry this is one hot Saturday!
See how Padro Pescal got on when he put his hot sauce skills to the test on Hot Ones!
