Dog racing in London has, er, gone to the dogs! This Saturday the shutters come down on 89 years of greyhound racing at Wimbledon Stadium as the old arena is ripped down and turned in to a new footy stadium and flats.
It’s the capital’s last dog racing venue. From now on, Londoners looking for a flutter on the hounds will have to head to Romford in Essex or Crayford in Kent.
So come down for one last hurrah! The £7 entrance fee includes a free programme and there’ll be booze deals to mark the historic night.
Saturday 25th March from 6.30pm, £7.
