If you’re in need of an escape from Planet Earth, go and gaze up at the stars at this extraordinary new astrophotography exhibition celebrating all things out of this world.
The Insight Investment Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2018 shortlist gallery is showing off some highlights of this year’s competition. And where better to host it than in the shadow of the Royal Observatory in Greenwich.
Visitors to the display can expect mind-blowing images of the moon, Milky Way and Northern Lights.
Furthermore, there’ll be photos from some of the most renowned space photographers including Nicolas Lefaudeux, Łukasz Sujka and Mikkel Beiter. Visitors can also pick up some tricks from the masters and find out how each snapper shot their remarkable images.
Keep an eye out too for this year’s overall winner – American Brad Goldpaint – whose People and Space photo (below) clicked in the Utah Desert takes pride of place in the gallery.
Stunning!
