Organisers say they want to “remind people why British fish and chips are, and will always be, the best in the world.”
The van’s taking the scenic route and stopping off at four other cities first: Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester and Birmingham before its final lunchtime stop in Greenwich. (Tell your out of London mates to check #FishNChipTrip on social media for full locations details).
Fun facts:
*Nobody knows when fish and chips came together. Chips (pommes frites) arrived in Britain from France in the 18th century.
*Fish and chips were one of the few foods not to be rationed in WW2.
