Here’s the perfect lunchtime treat; seven Chinatown restaurants are coming together to give away hundreds of FREE dumplings on National Dumpling Day.

There’s seven restaurants participating in all across the neighbourhood giving out 1,800 dishes. And it’s not just Chinese eateries. Ridiculously tasty highlights include deep-fried Malaysian Dumplings from Rasa Sayang, Gilled Pork Jiaozi at New China and Premium Wagyu Beef Mandu from Korean BBQ joint, Olle.

There’ll be tables outside each venues. Particularly peckish people can sample from more than one vendor. (We asked if you could, so you don’t have to!)

Why’s there 1,800 in the giveaway? It’s because – according to legend – dumplings were invented 1,800 years ago during the Han dynasty. Who knew!
