Parents, here’s a good way to keep the kids entertained over the holidays. Not only does this exhibition examine the psychology of magic and deception, there’s also FREEBIE magic shows.

Smoke and Mirrors at the Wellcome Collection explores the relationship between psychology and deception using artefacts from world famous tricksters. Look out for Tommy Cooper’s fez, Paul Daniels’s sawing-in-half box and even specialist equipment used by Derren Brown.

There’s two live performances each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; a sure-fire way to keep budding Hooudinis rapt.
