Fancy nursing a Pimms and playing croquet without having to step out of east London? You’ll soon be able to at the new Skylight in Tobacco Dock!

A former multi-storey car park in Wapping  (Downton its not) it’s being cleverly converted into a rooftop English country garden with a selection of summer sports; perfect for long summer nights.

The 600-capactiy location promises a couple of petanque courts and three croquet lawns plus you’ll even be able to chance your arm at lawn bowls. There’ll be bars on each of the three levels selling cocktails (this may or may not help with your mallet coordination!) – and if croquet’s worn you out? Load up at street-food burger specialists, We Serve Humans and Greek street food brand, Yiro who’ll both have pop-ups on site.
