With thousands expected to descend on the capital for the Coronation, central London is going to be absolutely heaving over the weekend.
It’s anticipated that many tube services will be disrupted – and, be warned, some stations could be closed for safety reasons. These include:
- Charing Cross (Bakerloo and Northern lines)
- Embankment (District and Circle lines)
- Westminster (District, Circle and Jubilee lines)
- Green Park (Piccadilly, Victoria and Jubilee lines)
- Piccadilly Circus (Piccadilly and Bakerloo lines)
- Temple (Circle and District lines)
- Marble Arch (Central line)
St James’ Park tube station will definitely be closed on Saturday and Hyde Park Corner will be exit-only for travellers.
Add to that road closures and lost tourists ……you get the picture! The upshot is if you want to join the coronation route then walking will be your best bet.
