Get ready for a FREE party in Trafalgar Square. The English patron saint may have been born in the Middle East, but don’t let that stop you celebrating the feast of St.George this weekend.
The famous landmark will be decked out in red and white and there’ll be plenty of family- friendly activities to enjoy.
Highlights include a spine-tingling live performance from the Military Wives Choir plus a blast from the past with folk songs from “Streets Of London” singer Ralph McTell.
Kids can explore the Magical Kingdom with its wizardry, fairground rides and ‘magical’ owl and there will be a fun interactive family adventure trail on the roads around the square.
There’ll be food stalls with grub from Butchies, Laura’s Fudge and Heck sausages along with live cookery demonstrations from chefs Theo Randall and Masterchef champion, Natalie Coleman, who’ll both be whipping up some historical British dishes.
Channel Shakespeare’s Henry V and by 6pm you’ll be screaming “God for Harry, England and St George!”
Saturday, 22nd April, 12pm – 6pm, FREE, Feast of St George in Trafalgar Square.
