If you’ve got a competitive streak – or just want to relive those long childhood afternoons – make straight for the 18th Hampstead Heath Conker Championships.
Sunday’s contest at Parliament Hill will be split in to five categories; under 5s, 5 – 7 years, 8 – 13 years, 14 – 17 years and 18s and over to see who’s crowned this year’s Conkermeister. Bring your own or you can pick one up there.

How about this one, brainiacs? Get up close and behind the scenes at UCL’s It’s All Academic Festival.
There’ll be loads going on including talks, tours, kids’ activities, screenings and performances. Top family-friendly highlights include mindfulness for children and a trail for young ones exploring Egyptian culture.
Everyone can also enjoy the UCL academics Vs UCL alumni fingers on buzzers quiz. All activities are FREE but book ahead.

And now for something completely different. Grab the kids and embrace the autumnal afternoon at Sunday’s FREE Squash and Pumpkin Festival.
The day of fun at the Garden Museum will feature a largest and ugliest pumpkin competition (so bring in your own if you’ve got a whopper!), a children’s contest and goodie bags. There’ll also be cooking tips and seeds to buy.
