With five stages and over 50 acts, this year’s International Busking Day FREE at Wembley Park is set to be a corker.
The day is a family-friendly celebration of all things busking and street music. Topping the bill is Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall and London indie trio, The Noisettes.
There’ll also be a host of up and coming talent including Bethzienna Williams, finallist on The Voice, Sherika Sherard who’s supported Seal and Lucy May Walker discovered at Charing Cross station by R2 presenter, Jeremy Vine.
Capital’s Sarah Story and Kiss FM’s Swarzy MaCaly will be introducing the acts over the course of the day before the after festival party which continues into the night at Boxpark Wembley.
What’s more there’s not only live music, there’s also a series of talks – also FREE – covering everything from the future of record labels to how to make social media work for musicians plus the opportunity to try out Sennheiser audio gear.
Taking the kids? Not to worry, there’s plenty to keep them entertained too from a roaming balloon artist to an all weather adventure park.
Verdict: an excellent Skint day out.
