The rumblings of autumn have arrived but fret not, come rain or shine, there’s always something cheap to do in London. And this weekend’s no different. Here’s our top tips for getting out and about.

It’s World Rhino Day on Saturday where the spotlight falls on the conservation of these vulnerable and beautiful beasts.
You may have noticed huge horned sculptures going up across the capital including musician, Ronnie Wood’s offering on Carnaby Street. It’s all part of Tusk Rhino Trail and we encourage you to check them out before they’re taken down!

Everyone in the city can make the most of traffic free streets and many roads are closed to cars across the capital on Saturday for World Car Free Day.
There’ll be about 50 streets taking part including spots in Southwark, Waltham Forest, Richmond, Islington, Ealing and Hackney.. Residents are encouraged to walk, cycle, meet, chat and enjoy!

If you need to keep the little ones entertained, swing by Canary Wharf for the FREE Unity Arts Festival.
The two-day gala across London City Island, Good Luck Hope and Trinity Buoy Wharf brings together artists, designers, actors and performers for a weekend of fun and frolics. Look out for kids’ animation classes, clay and ceramic casting, interactive zumba, 80s dance classes, puppet making and more.
It’s all part of the capital’s amazing Open House Weekend as over 800 buildings fling open their doors as well as FREE talks and walks. Check out the programme as there’s something for everyone from having a look at the Royal Academy of Arts to walking tours in Camden.

Enjoy a day of FREEBIE entertainment at Severndroog Castle Autumn Fayre on Sunday. There’ll be kods’ activities. food and real ale.
But the big draw is FREE entrance to the castle. The gothic tower was recently restored and they’re warning people to get there early as the tickets are timed and they expect a big turnout.

Roll up! Whether you own a dog you want to show off, or simply love being around them, the Chiswick Dog Show should be a fun day. The theme of this year’s show is the circus to commemorate 250 years since London’s first ever circus.
There’ll be 18 dog classes, including My Dog’s Got Talent. plus mystery celebrity judges. (For some reason the organisers won’t disclose who). And, as always, you won’t go hungry with a wide selection of food and drink stands. All proceeds raised go towards maintaining the house and grounds.

If you fancy something brilliantly different then head East – both geographically and culturally – for the FREE Neo Japan day in Clapton.
The immersive Japanese event is split in to two parts and combines classic culture with the modern Metropolis of 20th Century Tokyo. The daytime programme includes retro gaming on SEGA and SNES, Asian tea and delicious dumplings. The evening fun from 5pm has DJs, Japanese sake and whisky and classic cocktails.
