The heatwave continues! (We’re not complaining – well, not too much!) Here’s our top spots this weekend as London continues to swelter.

Scoop up the kids and make straight for the FREE Lambeth Country Show in Brixton.
The two-day outdoor fair is the 44th. Look out for a combination of traditional countryside pursuits – including a casual bit of lancing (pictured above), Morris dancing and wood turning as well as live music on the giant main stage and dance workshops for all ages.
For the kids there’ll be puppet making and arts and crafts along with plenty of other free activities. Oh and look out for the spectacular motorbike stunt shows too. There’ll also be street food on offer from dozens of traders from around the world.

Family-friendly outdoor theatre is the order of the day in Jubilee Park. Immersion Theatre is performing a musical version of Peter Pan so grab the kids, a blanket and head on over.
They’re promising you’ll be hooked! Your purse will also be relieved because it’s FREE.

For a Sunday with a difference, swing South for a family-friendly afternoon at the FREE Brompton Cemetery Open Day.
It sounds more eerie than it is! Specialist guides will be giving tours of the beautiful mausoleums. For the little ones look out for an outdoor art workshop, story telling, classical music and and a family drumming session too!

Head East for a dazzling day of dance, poetry, music and film screenings for all ages to celebrate 100 years since women got the vote!
Highlights at Stratford’s Open Doors: Vote 100 festival include a showcase of protest posters, the story of feminism set to a hip-hop soundtrack called Suffrageddon and a badge making workshop. There’ll be also be street food and drinks available.

If you’re looking to replenish your wardrobe, hit up the Hackney Preloved Vintage Kilo at Round Chapel.
How does it work? Simple! All visitors are given a bag on entry, take your pick from the clothes on the rails and when you’re done present your sack to the pay station to be weighed and pay, There’ll be loads on offer including branded sportswear, designer dresses, second-hand shoes and vintage coats,
